We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will utilise geographic information systems (GIS) to analyse spatial and non-spatial information. You will be responsible for mapping data visualisation, conducting spatial analysis, and supporting the decision-making process in various projects. Your work will be pivotal in providing insights and solutions for environmental management, urban planning, resource allocation, and other critical areas where geographic data is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret geographic information provided by surveys, aerial photographs, and satellite data.
- Utilise GIS software to create maps, graphs, and other visual representations of geographic data.
- Analyse spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports.
- Collaborate with teams across departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend system modifications.
- Maintain and update geographic databases, as needed.
- Provide technical support and training to staff in GIS applications and data.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Geoinformatics.
Experience
At least 1 year.
Skill Set
- Proficiency in GIS software and tools, such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with using python code for automating GIS task.
