The Senior Analyst will be a part of the Hydrogen team, which is involved in evaluating technologies and influencing policy landscape towards the proliferation of a hydrogen ecosystem in India, contributing to India’s clean energy goal. For this role, we are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in engineering and a sound understanding of engineering processes (unit operations). The candidate is expected to have exposure to financial modelling, especially within the realm of clean energy.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Analyse clean energy technologies that would aid manufacturing processes towards their decarbonisation, from time to time.
  • Conduct techno-economic and  cost-benefit analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to assess technological advancements, market trends, and regulatory landscapes impacting clean energy initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations based on analytical findings for pertinent stakeholders.
  • Support in identifying potential funding sources, grants, and investment opportunities for energy ventures.
  • Guide junior staff members on day-to-day tasks.

 

Qualifications

 

MSc/MTech in chemical engineering/mechanical engineering/energy engineering. A prior undergraduate degree in engineering or energy engineering is desirable.

 

Experience

 

At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the relevant sector.

 

 

Skills

 

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes where clean energy technology can be deployed to mitigate carbon emissions.
  • Sound applied knowledge of basic economic concepts.
  • Reasonable experience in financial modelling, preferably within clean energy projects.
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to use MS Office suite, with proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with excellent report-writing skills.
  • A thorough grasp of topics related to electrolysers and fuel cells will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of R/Python would be a plus.
