Consultant

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency group at CSTEP is looking for consultants to work on a short-term project in Madhya Pradesh. The role will involve working closely with CSTEP’s Rooftop Solar Tool and widening the adoption of solar-PV rooftop in multiple cities in the state.

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site training for personnel from DISCOMs, vendors/EPCs, lending institutions, and consumers on CSTEP’s Rooftop Solar Tool for enhancing outreach.
• Provide technical expertise during consumer awareness activities in the state (camps for residential consumers, workshops, etc.) regarding solar-PV technologies.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders in the state (developers, financial institutions, DISCOMs) working on rooftop solar implementation.

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc., BTech., etc.), preferably in Physics/Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) and Climate Sciences.

 

 

Experience

• 2 to 6 years
• Prior work experience in the renewable energy sector preferred.

 

 

Skill Set

• Good understanding of solar-PV/renewable energy technologies, with strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with electricity distribution and billing systems in Madhya Pradesh.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with diverse audiences.
• Ability to work in a team and deliver quality output with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in English and Hindi.
