Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in conducting power system planning studies, including transmission planning analyses.
  • Aid with documentation work, and contribute to preparing reports, presentations, and other materials.

 

 

Qualification

 

BE in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering or MS/ME/MTech in Electrical Engineering/Energy & Power Systems.

 

 

Skill Set

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Sound understanding of economic principles that relate to power system planning and operation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for effective interaction with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the Indian power sector landscape is highly desirable.
  • Basic understanding of simulation software such as PSS/E, ETAP, MiPower, CYME, MATLAB (PSAT) or similar tools would be an advantage.
  • Python programming skills would be a plus.

  • Gain a deep understanding of power system operation and planning principles.
  • Explore methodologies for planning and optimising generation and transmission networks to accommodate higher levels of renewable energy, contributing to the transition towards sustainable energy systems.
  • Understand the distribution network operation and planning, focussing on integrating EV-charging infrastructure and solar-rooftop technologies to support the evolving energy landscape.
  • Get acquainted with industry-standard power simulation software, and hone your skills in modelling and analysing power-system configurations.
