Next Generation Infrastructures Foundation

The Next Generation Infrastructures Foundation represents a large international consortium of knowledge institutions, market players and governmental bodies. Together, we work to improve the way our vital infrastructures are planned, designed, operated and maintained. The economic and social relevance of this endeavour is obvious: infrastructure malfunctions and outages are extremely damaging for economic growth and create widespread public dissatisfaction. Scientists of different disciplines have joined forces with policy makers, regulators, infrastructure managers, investors, designers, planners, contractors, service providers and operators to develop and test theories, models and tools to ensure that the infrastructures of the future function at their full potential.
