Outlook Business cover story on smart grids (August 7, 2010) was informative, exciting and forward looking. But, one wonders whether the cutting edge may actually turn
out to be the bleeding edge. Smart grids are certainly hot. But have smart grids become just a buzzword, like “green”?
To quell any doubts, I will state up front that I believe smart grids are not only inevitable, but also a highly welcome transformation of the power grid
